As a researcher, I focus on critical issues affecting mental health and the counselling profession. I have presented at various conferences, including the Florida Career Development Association and Chi Sigma Iota, on topics such as "Breaking the Piggy Bank: Socioeconomic Challenges Encountered by Counseling Interns on the Path to Licensure" and "Beyond the Mask: Unmasking Depression in Black Women."

My research delves into the barriers faced by counsellors, emphasizing the financial challenges that hinder their path to licensure. Additionally, I explore the unique mental health struggles of marginalized groups, with a particular focus on Black women.

My work aims to raise awareness, drive change in supervision practices, and inspire systemic improvements within the mental health field. Through my ongoing research, I have continued to advocate for greater inclusivity and access to mental health services for underserved communities.
